JFDA successfully completed first phase in PIC/S accession
Insisting on excellence within exceptional and urgent circumstances in the whole world since the beginning of this year, however, the inspection team at the Drug directorate has successfully completed the first phase of membership of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S), as the director of drug directorate, Wesal Al-Haqaish, indicated that this stage has been completed after complying with all the requirements and procedures for this stage (PIC / S Pre-applicant), and to declare that the drug Directorate plans to move to the next stage to obtain full membership.
The importance of participation and obtaining full membership stems from opening new markets to local industries by harmonizing the requirements of good manufacturing practices among the member states and allowing mutual recognition of inspections, as well as supporting and strengthening the public private partnership within the pharmaceutical sector in this field.
